Connect Google Sheets to PickPack to turn rows into delivery tasks

Keep Google Sheets as the source of truth for Spreadsheets, Sheets, Rows, Columns, Ranges, Apps Script, Forms and flexible operational data. PickPack handles everything that happens after the order leaves the system: route planning, driver dispatch, the driver app, live GPS, ETA, WhatsApp and SMS updates, exception handling, Failed Delivery Reason and POD.

PickPack + google sheets integration — delivery management visual
The Challenge

What’s broken today when Google Sheets meets delivery

In most organizations

Google Sheets already knows who the customer is, what the order or record is, where it stands and what the team committed to deliver.

The problem starts the moment that data has to go out to the field: inconsistent addresses

Driver coordination, time windows, exceptions, calls with customers, Proof of Delivery and clean status updates flowing back.

This page doesn’t try to turn Google Sheets into a delivery system.

It defines how Google Sheets stays the system of record

and PickPack turns the record into a delivery execution you can measure and close.

The Solution

PickPack adds the delivery execution layer on top of Google Sheets

Google Sheets continues to manage the records. PickPack takes the field connection from there — planning, execution, measurement and closure.

  • Real-time route optimization by vehicle capacity, time window and priority
  • AI-powered automatic driver dispatch — no manual coordination
  • Driver app with navigation, barcode scan, signature and POD capture
  • Statuses that flow back automatically to Google Sheets: ETA, en route, delivered, exception
  • WhatsApp and SMS updates to the customer with a live tracking link

Fields that flow

From Google Sheets to PickPackWhy it matters
Customer / Contact nameIdentify the recipient and coordinate with the customer.
Phone / mobileWhatsApp/SMS updates and driver calls when needed.
Delivery addressRoute planning, address normalization and exception detection.
Record / order / ticket referenceLink the delivery back to the source record.
Time window / priorityRoute planning according to service commitments.
Items / quantity / weight / volumeCapacity, vehicle, warehouse or driver constraints when relevant.
Origin / warehouse / locationOrigin point for the route.
Operational notesUseful context for the driver and dispatcher only.
The Experience

What the driver sees. What the customer gets. What the team controls.

Three different points of view — all running on the same PickPack layer, synced automatically with Google Sheets.

PickPack driver app

Driver App

Optimal route, built-in navigation, barcode scan, signature and POD capture. The driver just executes — PickPack has already coordinated.

PickPack customer updates

Customer Experience

WhatsApp or SMS with a live ETA, tracking link and delivery confirmation. The customer doesn’t have to call — they already know.

Operational Control

All live deliveries, real-time KPIs, flagged exceptions and proofs of delivery — all on one screen.

Implementation Paths

Four ways to connect — you choose the pace

You don’t have to start with a deep integration. Most customers move from file → automation → native integration within 3-6 months.

1

Excel/CSV

Suited for pilots, daily imports or a source system that isn’t yet ready for API.

2

Google Sheets

Suited for teams that want a live operational sheet with statuses flowing back.

3

Zapier, Make, n8n or Power Automate

Suited for triggers and relatively simple actions without full development.

4

API and Webhooks

Suited for high volumes, multiple systems, status updates and control requirements.

FAQ

FAQ

Does PickPack work with Google Sheets?
Yes. We connect Google Sheets to PickPack through whatever fits your stack: REST API, Webhooks, an automation platform like Zapier or Make, or even Excel/CSV to start. The exact shape depends on your Google Sheets plan and the fields you have available. We don’t market this as an official or certified app unless we confirm it with you in writing.
What should stay inside Google Sheets?
Google Sheets stays the system of record for everything tied to the customer and the order: Spreadsheets, Sheets, Rows, Columns, Ranges, Apps Script, Forms and flexible operational data. PickPack owns the operational layer once a delivery is created — routing, drivers, live status, exceptions and proof of delivery.
What data can flow into PickPack?
The basics: customer name, phone, address, the order or record ID, time window, priority, items or quantities, warehouse or origin location, service type and any operational notes the driver needs to see.
What data can flow back to Google Sheets?
Push back into the sheet exactly the columns ops live in: a Delivery Status column, an ETA column, the Driver Assigned, a Failed Delivery Reason, the POD Link and a Completed At column. Apps Script and your conditional formatting work as-is — without us turning the sheet into an event log.
Can we start without a full API?
Yes. Most customers start with Excel/CSV, a Google Sheet or an automation platform like Zapier or Make, then graduate to API and Webhooks once the data model and the process are nailed down. You don’t need engineering capacity on day one.
What must we validate in the demo?
Five things to lock down: which record triggers a delivery, which fields are required, which statuses flow back to your system, how exceptions are handled in the field, and where the POD Link ends up. Anything outside of that stays inside PickPack.
