Clover+ PickPack

Connect Clover POS to PickPack to manage delivery from order to POD

Keep Clover as the source of truth for Orders, Merchants, Inventory, Items, Customers, Payments and Webhooks. PickPack handles everything that happens after the order leaves the POS: route planning, driver dispatch, the driver app, live GPS, ETA, WhatsApp and SMS updates, exception handling, Failed Delivery Reason and POD.

See it running against a real Clover workflow in a 20-minute demo.

PickPack + clover integration — delivery management visual
The Challenge

What’s broken today when Clover meets delivery

In most businesses

Clover already knows who the customer is, what the order is, what’s been paid, which Merchant it came from and which Item is involved.

The problem starts the moment the order has to go out to the field: addresses captured quickly at the register

Driver coordination, time windows, an evening rush of restaurant deliveries, exceptions, calls with customers, Proof of Delivery and clean status updates flowing back to the team.

This page doesn’t try to turn Clover into a delivery system.

It defines how Clover stays the system of orders and payments

and PickPack turns the order into a delivery execution you can measure, report on and close.

The Solution

PickPack adds the delivery execution layer on top of Clover

Clover continues to manage the records. PickPack takes the field connection from there — planning, execution, measurement and closure.

  • Real-time route optimization by vehicle capacity, time window and priority
  • AI-powered automatic driver dispatch — no manual coordination
  • Driver app with navigation, barcode scan, signature and POD capture
  • Statuses that flow back automatically to Clover: ETA, en route, delivered, exception
  • WhatsApp and SMS updates to the customer with a live tracking link

Fields that flow

From Clover to PickPackWhy it matters
Customer nameIdentify the recipient and coordinate with the customer.
Phone / mobileWhatsApp/SMS updates and driver calls when needed.
Delivery addressRoute planning, address normalization and exception detection.
Order ID / ReferenceLink the delivery back to the source record.
Time window / promised timeRoute planning according to service commitments.
Items / Modifiers / quantityCapacity, packaging, vehicle, driver or temperature constraints when needed.
Merchant / LocationOrigin point for the route.
Operational notesUseful context for the driver and dispatcher only.
The Experience

What the driver sees. What the customer gets. What the team controls.

Three different points of view — all running on the same PickPack layer, synced automatically with Clover.

PickPack driver app

Driver App

Optimal route, built-in navigation, barcode scan, signature and POD capture. The driver just executes — PickPack has already coordinated.

PickPack customer updates

Customer Experience

WhatsApp or SMS with a live ETA, tracking link and delivery confirmation. The customer doesn’t have to call — they already know.

Operational Control

All live deliveries, real-time KPIs, flagged exceptions and proofs of delivery — all on one screen.

Implementation Paths

Four ways to connect — you choose the pace

You don’t have to start with a deep integration. Most customers move from file → automation → native integration within 3-6 months.

1

Excel/CSV

Suited for pilots, daily imports or a location that isn’t yet ready for Webhook.

2

Google Sheets

Suited for teams that want a live operational sheet with statuses flowing back.

3

Zapier, Make, n8n or Power Automate

Suited for triggers and relatively simple actions without full development.

4

Clover REST API and Webhooks

Suited for high volumes, multiple merchants, status updates and control requirements.

FAQ

FAQ

Does PickPack work with Clover? POS?
Yes. We connect Clover to PickPack through whatever fits your stack: Clover’s REST API, Webhooks, an automation platform like Zapier or Make, or even Excel/CSV to start. The exact shape depends on the Merchant, the approved Apps and the fields you have available. We don’t market this as an official, certified or Clover App Market listed integration unless we confirm it with you in writing.
What should stay inside Clover?
Clover stays the system of record for everything tied to the sale and the merchant: Orders, Merchants, Inventory, Items, Modifiers, Customers, Payments, Refunds, Employees and Webhooks. PickPack owns the operational layer once a delivery is created — routing, drivers, live status, exceptions and proof of delivery.
What data can flow into PickPack from Clover?
The basics: customer name, phone, address, the Order ID, time window, priority, items or modifiers, the Merchant or Location as origin, service type and any operational notes the driver needs to see.
What data can flow back to Clover or the POS team?
Push back exactly what the POS team, the manager and support need to see on the Order: a Delivery Status, an ETA, a Tracking Link the customer can open, the POD Link, a Failed Delivery Reason and a Delivery Completed timestamp. One clean view per sale — not a copy of every PickPack event into Clover.
Can we start without a full REST API?
Yes. Most customers start with Excel/CSV, a Google Sheet or an automation platform like Zapier or Make pulling events from Clover, then graduate to Clover’s REST API and Webhooks once the data model and the process are nailed down. You don’t need engineering capacity on day one.
What must we validate in the Clover integration demo?
Six things to lock down: which order triggers a delivery, which fields are required, how multiple Merchants or locations are handled, which statuses flow back to Clover, how exceptions are handled in the field, and where the POD Link ends up. Anything outside of that stays inside PickPack.
