PickPack API and Webhooks for connecting delivery systems

As volumes scale, the contract between systems has to be explicit: your source systems send PickPack the records that should become deliveries, PickPack runs the operational layer, and only the events your business actually needs flow back — via REST or Webhooks.

PickPack + api webhooks integration — delivery management visual
The Challenge

What’s broken today when API & Webhooks meets delivery

Non-standardized addresses arriving through API & Webhooks

Delivery statuses out of sync between the field and the system of record

Driver and time-window coordination handled manually

Manual POD that doesn’t flow back automatically

The Solution

PickPack adds the delivery execution layer on top of API & Webhooks

API & Webhooks continues to manage the records. PickPack takes the field connection from there — planning, execution, measurement and closure.

  • Real-time route optimization by vehicle capacity, time window and priority
  • AI-powered automatic driver dispatch — no manual coordination
  • Driver app with navigation, barcode scan, signature and POD capture
  • Statuses that flow back automatically to API & Webhooks: ETA, en route, delivered, exception
  • WhatsApp and SMS updates to the customer with a live tracking link

The Experience

What the driver sees. What the customer gets. What the team controls.

Three different points of view — all running on the same PickPack layer, synced automatically with API & Webhooks.

PickPack driver app

Driver App

Optimal route, built-in navigation, barcode scan, signature and POD capture. The driver just executes — PickPack has already coordinated.

PickPack customer updates

Customer Experience

WhatsApp or SMS with a live ETA, tracking link and delivery confirmation. The customer doesn’t have to call — they already know.

PickPack ops dashboard

Operational Control

All live deliveries, real-time KPIs, flagged exceptions and proofs of delivery — all on one screen.

Implementation Paths

Four ways to connect — you choose the pace

You don’t have to start with a deep integration. Most customers move from file → automation → native integration within 3-6 months.

1

Excel/CSV

Suited for pilots, daily imports or a source system that isn’t yet ready for API.

2

Google Sheets

Suited for teams that want a live operational sheet with statuses flowing back.

3

Zapier, Make, n8n or Power Automate

Suited for triggers and relatively simple actions without full development.

4

API and Webhooks

Suited for high volumes, multiple systems, status updates and control requirements.

FAQ

FAQ

Does PickPack work with API and Webhooks?
Yes. PickPack ships a documented REST API and a Webhooks layer your engineering team can build against. You can also reach the same endpoints through Zapier, Make, n8n or Power Automate, or start from Excel/CSV while the contract is being finalized. We don’t market this as an official or certified app unless we confirm it with you in writing.
What should stay inside API and Webhooks?
Your source systems stay the system of record — they own the customer, the order and the business context. PickPack’s REST API and Webhooks are the boundary: they accept the records that need to become deliveries, and they emit the events you care about. PickPack runs the operational layer; your stack stays unchanged.
What data can flow into PickPack?
The basics: customer name, phone, address, the order or record ID, time window, priority, items or quantities, warehouse or origin location, service type and any operational notes the driver needs to see.
What data can flow back through API and Webhooks?
Subscribe to exactly the Webhooks your business needs: Delivery Task Created, Driver Assigned, Route Built, Driver En Route, Latest ETA, Tracking Link generated, Delivery Exception, Failed Delivery Reason, POD Captured and Delivery Completed. Each event ships a clean, versioned payload — so your downstream systems consume only what they care about.
Can we start without a full API?
Yes. Most customers start with Excel/CSV, a Google Sheet or an automation platform like Zapier or Make, then graduate to the REST API and Webhooks once the data model and the process are nailed down. You don’t need engineering capacity on day one.
What must we validate in the demo?
Five things to lock down: which record triggers a delivery, which fields are required, which statuses flow back to your system, how exceptions are handled in the field, and where the POD Link ends up. Anything outside of that stays inside PickPack.
